Sweden's Armed Forces have confirmed that an incident at the Kråks shooting range outside Karlsborg took place during a training exercise, according to reports from Göteborgs-Posten, Dagens Nyheter, SVT and the Armed Forces itself.
The confirmation followed initial reports of an explosion at the facility. Göteborgs-Posten reported that the accident occurred during a training session, while Dagens Nyheter described it as a blast that happened during a training moment. The Armed Forces acknowledged the incident at the range near Karlsborg.
The Armed Forces said its attention is on the soldiers involved. "The focus is on our soldiers," the authority stated, according to SVT.
